Get Out There: Take a walk in Stanley Park!

Getting your daily fitness fix doesn’t necessarily have to involve you busting your behind in the gym. This weekend, consider taking a few hours off to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery of Vancouver’s Stanley Park!

Located in the heart of Vancouver, Stanley Park is visited by nearly 8 million tourists per year, as they marvel at its beautiful foliage, gardens and famous totem poles. Stanley Park is also home to the Vancouver Aquarium, in addition to hosting fine arts events year round. In terms of recreation, the 8.8 km Seawall that surrounds the park can make for an excellent morning or afternoon excursion. Run, walk or bike, all while getting a spectacular view of the water.

The Point crew ourselves enjoyed a lovely afternoon traveling around the Seawall this past October. We saw many a sight, including a swimming raccoon, beautiful autumn leaves and a creepy children’s circus, all while getting some great exercise and much needed fresh air!
