Recipe: Cinnamon Sugar Christmas Pecans

If you’re looking to do some Christmas baking this holiday season but don’t have a.) skills; b.) time; or c.) many ingredients, this delicious recipe will hit that sugar craving almost effortlessly. These yummy pecans are by far the easiest and least messy project you could make, and the final product tastes like miniature cinnamon buns. You can’t go wrong here.

Cinnamon Sugar Christmas Pecans:

1 egg white
1/4 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 tablespoon water
1/2 pound (8oz) pecan halves
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.

In a large ziplock back or Tupperware container, mix together the egg white, vanilla, and water. Add in the pecans, seal your container, and shake ingredients together until pecans are evenly coated.

In another ziplock bag or container, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour pecans from liquid mix into this bag and shake again until pecans are evenly coated with the cinnamon and sugar. Once complete, your pecans will look sticky and smell delicious… but your job is not done yet.

Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper and pour pecans evenly over top. They will likely be sticking together, but try to separate them as best you can. Place in the oven and cook for 1 hour, stirring them around lightly every 15 minutes to prevent clumping.

Make sure you let them cool completely before storing them as warm nuts will go soggy. By nuts, I mean pecans. Obviously.

Then, voila! You have a delicious dessert, party treat, Christmas gift, or snack!
