Why Do You Lace Up? Seeing the Bigger Picture.

In November, The Point staff brought their creative flare to REC’s Lace Up For Kids event in support of the Rare Disease Foundation at BC Children’s Hospital. Equiped with a couple permanent makers and a large canvas, our editors scoured the concourse asking families, participants, and volunteers why they lace up.
Given a small piece of canvas, each person wrote a short note explaining why they were there, but what they didn’t know was that their words were part of a bigger picture. Like their generosity in donating to Lace Up or showing support, their actions had a larger effect than they knew. Together, they created this image.
