Student Recreation Centre

At the SRC students have countless opportunities to improve their health and wellness, from drop-in sports to intramural leagues and events and instructional programming. For more information on any one of these areas see the links below:

Come by the SRC from Jan 13-19 to try any of our instructional programs for FREE! A full schedule of yoga, pilates, martial arts, fitness, health and dance classes can be found here.

Birdcoop Fitness Centre

Located in the Student Recreation Centre, the Birdcoop Fitness Centre is UBC’s most popular fitness facility. In addition to the facility itself, the Birdcoop offers bootcamp, spin and fitness classes as well as a Bouldering Cave and Spin Studio. **NEW Ponderosa Commons Studio

The newest space in the UBC Recreation family, the Ponderosa Commons Studio offers a variety of instructional programs including yoga, pilates, dance, fitness and health classes. Stop by between Jan 13-19 for FREE Shopping Week classes!

UBC Aquatics Centre

Hop in the pool at the UBC Aquatics Centre! With a packed schedule of activity there’s something for everyone. The Aquatics Centre offers both casual open-swim programs as well as swim lessons, aquatic fitness and first-aid and lifesaving courses.

Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre

Strap on some skates and get out on the ice! A former Olympic venue, the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre is home to three ice-rinks and countless programs. From casual drop-in skating/hockey, family hockey and figure skating to programs to improve your on ice ability, there’s a program for people of every age and skill level.
