We’re already halfway through January and hopefully, you’re still sticking to your New Years resolution of going for a daily or weekly run. But, sometimes, News Years resolutions need some new energy or motivation aside from the fact that it is a new year and you’re working on a new you. So, if you’re finding that the whole ‘it’s a new year and I promised myself I would stick to my resolutions’ is just not cutting it anymore, channel your energy into training or preparing for a marathon! Luckily, there are multiple marathons in Vancouver and they all occur at different times of the year. Although we’d love to sit down and tell you about all of them, here are the Point’s Top Marathons in Vancouver (in order by date):

1. The Vancouver Sun Run
This event is easily one of the biggest running events in Vancouver. At almost 50 000 participants last year, you can expect this 10-kilometre run will continue to grow this year. This is a great social event, so grab a friend or two! And as an added bonus: part of the proceeds from registration go towards the Vancouver Sun’s Raise-a-Reader program!

This event also has half-marathon, 8km and kids’ 1 mile run options, so there’s something for everyone and at all running levels!
