UBC TSC October Newsletter 2016

TSC_201617_OctoberNewsletterPhoto1TSC teams have been thrown full force into fall competition as they travel through western Canada and into the States. The Equestrian Team made their debut as a competitive club with a showing of 8 top 5 placements and Nat Nahirney being named the Reserve High Point Rider. Meanwhile Men’s Lacrosse traveled north to Edmonton to win their tounament pool and Sailing appeared in two Regattas, Cascadia Cup and Stoneyburke, earning a 5th and 10th in the former and a 15th in the latter. The Water polo team moved to a higher level of competition to join the CWPA American Collegiate Circuit for the first time in UBC history and ended the season with a 5th place overall. And Quidditch rounded up an all around excellent month of competition winning the Instinct Invitational Tournament.

 

Congratulations to the two Featured Athletes this Month: Cameron Cutler (Quidditch) and Amelia Milne (Water Polo). Cutler leading his team to Victory in Calgary at the University of Calgary, and Milne named “Goalie of the Weekend” in the Men’s Collegiate Water Polo league.
