Lace Up for Kids is just around the corner and we are so excited to see everyone Lace Up for a good time. We decided to ask some people why they Lace Up for Kids! Here are their responses:
Dupree Smith
“Why do I lace up? I have been so fortunate growing up with no major illnesses and have been able to pursue any goals I’ve had. Whether it be playing sports or other interests of mine, it is easy to take these simple joys for granted, when in fact there are many children who cannot take part for reasons out of their control. This year I’m lacing up to raise awareness and support rare disease research through theBC Children’s Hospital Foundation.”
Robyn Wilmer
“I lace up because I know how much work everyone puts into supporting this cause, and it is truly amazing to see everyone come together on the day. “
Bronwyn Davies
“I lace up because I want to be there for my community and it is a great way to connect with the actual people who are directly affected by my contributions.”
Ashley Reyes
“I lace up because every child deserves a chance at living the life that most people take for granted”
Alyssa Reyes
“I lace up to support the students who contribute hundreds of hours to create an amazing event for the Rare Disease Foundation.”
Jason McManus
I lace up because every parent should.
