UBC Camps Withdrawal Policy

At UBC Camps, we understand this is an unprecedented time! In addition to implementing enhanced health and safety measures for everyone’s wellbeing, families are also eligible to receive a full credit or refund when withdrawing from any camp 31 or more days prior to the start date of that camp. Any withdrawals made between 10 – 30 days prior to the start date of camp will incur a $25 administrative fee per camp. Any withdrawals made between 0 – 9 days prior to the start date of camp are non-refundable.

When processing your withdrawal, you will have two options: “same as payment method” (applicable to credit cards only), or an “account credit”. If you choose to receive an account credit, this credit can be used across any UBC Recreation program, event, course or rental: camps, tennis, aquatics, hockey, fitness, rowing or baseball!  Check out all of UBC Recreation’s diverse offerings here.

Note that this withdrawal policy is only applicable to Camp programs, and does not apply to other lessons or bookings with UBC Athletics and Recreation.

Withdrawing from a Camp

We highly recommend any withdrawals or program changes are completed online through our new online registration system. You can withdraw from a camp in just a few easy steps!

  1. Log in to your UBC Recreation account.
    1. If you are a UBC Student, Faculty or Staff, login using your Campus-wide Login.
    2. All other users can login using your email address and password.
  2. Once logged in, navigate to the child that you are looking to withdraw from camp.
  3. On the family member detail page, scroll to the schedules tab to reveal a calendar of any upcoming events.
  4. Switch to a list view to see that same information but in a table.
  5. Once you find the camp that you would like to withdraw from, scroll over to “Actions” and choose “Withdraw”
  6. A pop-up window will appear showing you the amount to be refunded. You will have two options to receive your refund:
    1. Account credit
    2. Same as payment method
  7. Click “Withdraw” and a confirmation receipt will be generated.
