5 Free Ways to Get Involved with UBC Recreation this Fall

1. Recess | September 13, 11 am-3 pm @ Main Mall

We are throwing it back to the best parts of elementary school with outdoor games and snacks!

Stop by during this free event and enjoy inflatable activities, free smoothies, outdoor volleyball, and so much more! Bring a friend or meet some new people, no registration is required.

2. Free Week | September 11-17

Try out as many classes as you want, for free!

Free week is the perfect opportunity to try some of the amazing programs offered by UBC Recreation. Drop-In to a variety of classes including Zumba, Barre Fitness, Spinning, Aquafit, Bootcamp, Martial Arts and many more.

3. Tennis Centre Open House | September 12

Visit out Tennis Centre from 12 pm to 2 pm and learn about the amazing programs they offer.

Have a look at our facility, learn more about our programs, and have the chance to meet (and rally against) our world-class coaches.  There will also be fun challenges such as tennis carnival activities, prizes and free lunch for the first 50 people.

4. Aquatic Centre Open House | September 15

Come explore our brand-new aquatics facility from 12 pm to 2 pm!

Join us at the Aquatic Centre for both wet and dry activities, coffee, snacks, and prizes to be won!  Activities include an Inflatable Obstacle Course, Race the Rapids Course, Noodle Javelin, and a Squirt Bottle Obstacle Course.  There will also be a facility tour from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm.

5. Drop-In Wheelchair Basketball | Every Second Friday @ The SRC

Try something new!

Drop-in every second Friday beginning at the end of September for Wheelchair Basketball skill sessions and games.  Learn the foundations of the sport in a welcoming and fun atmosphere.  Every sessions include an hour of drills and skills from a coach and then an hour of scrimmage.  Drop-in when is convenient for you, no need to stay for the whole time!
