Ski season is fast approaching and the UBC alpine ski team is excited to get back on the USCSA circuit. We are excited to introduce another new member, Grace Melchers, to the women’s alpine team.
Grace Melchers was born in England, however she grew up in Cambridge, Ontario. Melchers’ home club is Chicopee Ski Club, but her favourite place to ski is at Whistler. Her favourite discipline is slalom and has a couple top 3 results in U14 division and top 10 results in the U16 division. Melchers’ is currently in her first year in the Faculty of Science and is hoping to specialize in Biology or Environmental studies. During the summer Melchers works as a camp counselor back in Ontario.
Melchers will be heading to Whistler January 10-13th with the UBC ski team for our pre-season camp before the race season begins January 20th in McCall, Idaho.
