This past weekend the UBC alpine ski team competed in their first race of the season at Brundage mountain in McCall, Idaho. First years Samantha Bougnher and Anastasia Kiku along with second year Majia Wooton brought the Women’s team to our first victory of the season. Unfortunately we did not have enough men to make a full team but senior Cameron Hale stormed the mountain with a 2nd place first run and ended up fourth in the race.
On the second day the Skibirds were back at it again with freshman Anastsasia Kiku skiing her way to a 2nd place finish. Senior Cameron Hale performed again ending up 3rd and freshman Jake Klonsky behind him with a 10th place finish.
