The UBC Aquatic Centre experienced a power surge this morning at approximately 8:30am and as a result the filtration systems for the facility were down for a short period of time. Upon restarting the filtration pumps the visibility in the 25M Recreation tank the Leisure tank dropped below acceptable limits – for this reason these tanks are temporarily closed.
The Leisure tank re-opened at approximately 12noon and 25M Recreation will be open as of 3:15pm.
