The Alpine Ski team at the end of year TSC banquet
After an extremely successful season the competitive part of it has come to an end for the skibirds. The women’s team kept UBCs streak alive of attending nationals for the past 12 plus years. It was a hard fought season but both our women’s and men’s teams skied hard to finish the regular season with a 6th place overall standing for the men, and 1st place for the women. We would like to give a special shout out to freshman Max Duso who, in his first year ever ski racing, ended the season with multiple top 15 finished! Our women’s team was led by senior Michele warner who ended the regular season in 4th place overall, closely followed by second year Anastasia Kiku in 5th.

This season would not have been possible without our team of student executives, who work around the clock to make sure the team runs as smoothly as possible. Our team this year was made up of Michele Warner as club lead, Jake Klonoski as our travel and safety officer, Anastasia Kiku as our finance officer, and Lauren Hale as our Marcom officer. Along with our student coaches Cameron Hale and Jordan Fitzgerald, and coach Bernie we had a full coaching staff for this season.
Lastly we would like to thank our alumni and supporters who donated to the team, followed along on live timing, and attending our fundraisers. Our team would not function without your support and we cannot wait for next season! To see the full results from this season click here!
