An act of self-care is any activity that we do in order to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health. From July 27-31, UBC Recreation encourages you to complete acts of self-care for 5 straight days. Screenshot the following image and checkmark when you completed each day’s activity!

How do I participate?
There are two ways to participate in this challenge:
Social Media
- On July 27th, check out the UBC Rec Instagram or Facebook story and screenshot the 5-Day Self-Care Challenge graphic.
- We encourage you to upload your challenge graphic daily to your Instagram and/or Facebook story. Using the text tool on Instagram/Facebook, you can check the box for each day’s activity. Make sure to tag @ubcrec in each upload.
- For submission when all 5-days are completed, you will upload your completed 5-Day Self-Care Challenge graphic to your Instagram or Facebook story, tagging @ubcrec. UBC Recreation will send you back a digital medal. You will also be entered in a contest to win an active at home workout set. Challenge graphics should be posted to your story by August 4th at 4pm. UBC Recreation will be reposting your completed challenge graphic on our Instagram and Facebook stories. If your account is private, please send your completed graphic through Instagram message or email it to physical.activity@ubc.ca.
- Click the image below and save the following 5-Day Self-Care Challenge graphic. You can print it out as well to keep track!
- The challenge begins on July 27th. Check the box, for each day’s activity.
Once all 5-days are completed, you will send your completed 5-Day Self-Care Challenge graphic to physical.activity@ubc.ca to be entered in a contest to win an active at home workout set. The deadline for submission of your challenge graphic is August 4th at 4 pm.

We encourage you to share how you are completing each day’s self-care activity by sharing it on Instagram and Facebook. Please tag @ubcrec so we can repost your activities on our UBC Rec channels.

Who can participate?
We encourage everyone to participate! Students, staff, faculty, and community members of UBC are all invited to participate.
What can I win?
All participants that complete the full 5-Day Self-Care Challenge will automatically be entered to WIN an active at home workout set including:
- lululemon yoga mat and mat bag
- Move UBC bag
- Move UBC water bottle
- Move UBC umbrella
- Exercise band
- Move UBC towel.
