Meet Our 2020/2021 UBC TSC Artistic Swimming Executive Team!

With the new 2020/2021 season starting, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce our new executive team!

 

Fannia Xu, Club Lead

Our club lead Fannia Xu is entering her 3rd year at UBC studying Honors Integrated Science in Pharmacology & Neurobiology. She has been doing artistic swimming for 9 years and this will be her third year competing on the UBC Artistic Swimming advanced team. Her favourite things about artistic swimming are all the teammates and coaches she has met which have inspired her and made her experience one of a kind. 

 

 

 

Nicole Exley, Finance Officer

Our Finance Officer Nicole Exley will be going into her 2nd year at UBC majoring in Commerce. This will also be her second year swimming on the UBC Artistic Swimming advanced team. Nicole got involved with artistic swimming in Calgary and also used to coach young swimmers for her club. Her favourite part about artistic swimming is how it combines both creativity and athleticism! 

 

 

Lisa Koyama-Wong, Marketing and Communications Officer

Lisa Koyama-Wong will be going into her 3rd year at UBC majoring in Speech science and minoring in Psychology. Lisa started artistic swimming at 9 years old and has now been swimming competitively for 11 years. This will be her third year on the UBC Artistic Swimming advanced team. Her favourite things about artistic swimming are the close friendships she has made over the years and being able to stay active during the school year.

 

 

 

Zara Herbert, Travel and Safety Officer

Zara Herbert will be entering her 3rd year at UBC as a Kinesiology student. This season she will be working alongside Natasha Thom as the travel and safety officer. Zara has been swimming competitively since the age of 8 and this will be her second year on the UBC Artistic Swimming advance team. Her favourite thing about the sport is the friendships she has made with athletes across the province.

 

 

 

Natasha Thom, Travel and Safety Officer

Natasha Thom will be entering her 4th year at UBC as a Geography environment and Sustainability major. She will be sharing the role of Travel and Safety Officer with Zara Herbert. Natasha has been doing artistic swimming for over 10 years and this will be her fourth year on the UBC Artistic Swimming team. Some of her favourite aspects of the sport are working together as a team, building friendships, and coming up with choreography!
