Free Virtual Beginner Workshops!

Interested in starting a new hobby, or getting involved in a new sport? No matter where you are in the world, UBC Recreation is holding FREE virtual beginner workshops to help you get started in both Aquatic and Tennis programs! Both workshops will cover ways to get started, share tips and tricks from our team of coaches on various techniques and ways to help your practice your skills at our Aquatic Centre and Tennis Centre on campus!

Aquatics Workshop

This workshop will tell you all there is to know on how to get started at the Aquatic Centre! For those looking to expand their social groups, the Aquatic Centre has programs to help introduce you to other individuals with similar interests! Our Aquatic programs can also help reduce any stress you may be facing. By burning some energy, you are one step closer to improved emotional wellbeing. Getting involved with Aquatics can also contribute to your weekly 150 minutes of physical activity, which can help support a full and restful night’s sleep.

Tennis Workshops

Looking to try a new sport? Want to brush up on some rusty skills? Join us for this beginner tennis workshop! We will go through the basic techniques you can use to improve your skills. This session will be over Zoom so you’ll be able to join us from anywhere in the world. No experience is needed.
