Staff & Faculty Sports Day Returns Virtually for 2021

Your favourite event is back and better than ever! This FREE event for faculty and staff will be held virtually for both UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan campuses. To accommodate for our diverse staff, and our different working and living situations, Staff & Faculty Sports Day is now Staff & Faculty Sports Week! The even will include a variety of synchronous and asynchronous activities as well as Just for Fun and Competitive options. Stay tuned for more information!

General Information

  • Location: Virtual
  • Time: Various times throughout the week to meet your schedule!
  • Cost: FREE!

Activities and Scoring

Teams will be provided with a bingo card that displays an array of activities with all varying levels of physicality and difficulty.

Scoring will be completed using a bingo card style system. Depending on your team’s participation, you will be asked to complete the following:

  • Just-for-Fun Teams: Complete as many or as few activities as your team wishes. Please submit results by 12PM on Thursday May 6.
  • Competitive Teams: Your team must complete all activities and submit results by 12PM on Thursday May 6.

  • Registration Open: March 22, 2021 @ 12pm
  • Registration Close: April 16, 2021 @ 5pm
  • Roster Deadline: April 23, 2021 @ 5pm
  • Opening Ceremonies: May 3, 2021 
  • Event Week: May 3-7, 2021
  • Closing Ceremonies: May 7, 2021
