Welcome to all things Esport at Intramurals! Over the years the popularity of Esports has risen, and now more than ever, it is great way to connect with others in a virtual space. Intramurals is bringing you the opportunity to engage in Casual Game Nights which are a great for someone new to online gaming or looking to stay active in the Esport community, or if you are looking for a competition style game, partake in the one-day Tournaments! Casual Game Nights
Casual Game Nights are a great way to connect with your friends, and meet others in the UBC Community! Game Nights take the stress out of planning and organizing, and allow you to sit back relax and have fun. Best of all, game nights are open to all UBC students and staff, are free of charge, and use free online games!
What to Expect: Game nights run for one hour, and are designed to encourage socializing and meeting others! Pre games/ice breakers will start on the hour, and will allow people to join the call and meet others. The scheduled game will start 10 minutes into the call, and players will play through the rounds, and then have an opportunity at the end to connect.
Cost: Free!
How to Join: All Game Nights will be hosted over Zoom. To get access, join the UBC Intramurals Discord Server as more information on how to join the games and Zoom call information will be shared there.
Among Us – Mar. 10, 7:00 PM
Among Us is an online multiplayer social deduction game. Players try to save their ship while impostors are trying to kill them all, and you work together to find the imposter.
Skribbl.io – Mar. 17, 7:00 PM
skribbl io is a free multiplayer drawing and guessing game. While a player draws an object, all other players are trying to guess what the object is.
Mario Kart Tour + Super Mario Run – Mar. 25, 7:00 PM
Mario Kart Tour is a kart racing mobile game. In Super Mario Run you control Mario by tapping as he constantly runs forward. You time your taps to pull off stylish jumps, midair spins, and wall jumps to gather coins and reach the goal!
Esport Tournaments
Esport Tournaments are great for those looking to play their favourite games with a competitive edge! Join with friends to compete against one another, or a great way to stay connected with the UBC Esport community while meeting like minded individuals. Best of all tournaments are free of charge!
What to Expect: Tournaments will run for 1.5 – 2 hours, and are designed to encourage socializing and meeting others while playing competitively! Intramurals staff will guide players through the tournament through Discord.
Cost: Free!
Group Size: Solo only! Friends can join but will compete against each other.

Triple Crown – Mar. 13, 4:00 PM
Three small trivia/card game tournaments will be played: Uno, Trivia, Monopoly Deal or Cards (ex. Go Fish). Uno is a card game where players try to get rid of ones card before others do. Trivia will challenge players’ knowledge of popular topics as well as world history and geography.
Rocket League – Mar. 20, 4:00 PM
Rocket League is a vehicular soccer video game. Players work with their team to advance the ball down the field, and score goals in their opponents’ net while driving vehicles.
*Players need their own console and copy of the game.
Among Us Competitive – Mar. 28, 4:00 PM
Among us with competitive settings and a tournament structure! Among Us is an online multiplayer social deduction game. Players try to save their ship while some impostors are trying to kill them all.
