With BBQ season just around the corner, UBC Rec invites you to join a 4-Week Social Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win a Weber Original Charcoal Grill (Valued at $200)!
How it Works
- Every week from May 2 – 22, UBC Recreation posts 2 clues about a unique UBC Sports Facility on Instagram.
- Figure out the location of the Sports Facility based on the clues, go to the location, take a photo, and post it to your Instagram — tagging @ubcrec, and including the hashtag #UBCScavengerHunt for 2 entries.
- Make sure your profile is public for UBC Recreation to view
- BONUS: From May 24-31, visit any of the facilities featured from he Scavenger Hunt (i.e. Thunderbird Arena, Thunderbird Stadium, or Student Recreation Centre) and post a photo/video of the facility on your story and tag @ubcrec for 1 entry.
- Everybody who posts a photo with that hashtag is entered to win the grand prize — a $200 Weber Original Charcoal Grill!
- Bonus: Everyone who posts a picture will win a UBC Rec T-shirt just for participating!*

*Rules & Regulations for the Social Scavenger Hunt:
- The deadline to post photos on your Instagram is 5:00 PM, PST on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
- Multiple posts are allowed.
- Complete posts with correct locations will be entered to win the grand prize.
- You must follow UBC Recreation on Instagram.
- The winner of the UBC Rec Social Scavenger Hunt will be announced on our Instagram the week of June 1, 2022.
- The winner will also be notified by direct message.
