HIRING: UBC Baseball Instructors

We are currently hiring Baseball Instructors for Summer 2022 Camps! This role will provide high-quality and dynamic Baseball instruction for the UBC Athletics and Recreation Baseball program. There are 8 Instructor positions available.

Summer camps start July 5th. Instructors are expected to work Monday through Friday for 10-35 hours/week at $15-$20/hour.

The Instructor will report directly to the Coordinator of Baseball Programs, in the Department of Athletics and Recreations, and work in cooperation with other departmental staff.

The Instructor will perform work pertaining to fitness and sport instructions.

This role is integral to the operations and goals of the Department of Athletics and Recreation, including delivery of excellence on the national level and an exceptional fan experience. UBC Athletics and Recreation strives to create a healthy, active and connected community where each person is at their personal best and proud of their UBC experience.

This position will report directly to the Coordinator of Baseball Programs. In this role, Instructors will work independently to lead the scheduled program sessions. Instructors are expected to understand and comply to UBC Athletics and Recreation's policies and procedures, but are expected to defer to their direct supervisor when any judgement or decision-making outside of their parameters is required.

Candidates that would fit well within the position are those that have a sound knowledge of fitness or sport theory and strong relationship building skills. Candidates that show leadership qualities, work independently and have the natural ability to lead and command a group of people would be excellent fits, as well as those who are able to exercise sound judgement and can solve problems in high-stress situations.
