We are currently hiring Baseball Instructors for the Fall/Winter season! This role will provide high-quality and dynamic Baseball instruction for the UBC Athletics and Recreation Baseball program.

The position will start September 6, 2022. Instructors are expected to work Monday through Sunday for 10-25 hours/week at $15-$20/hour.
Applicants wishing to be hired for the fall term should apply by the end of August. Applicants wishing to be hired for the winter term can apply any time, but should indicate in their cover letter what season they are applying for.
There are 8 Baseball Instructor positions available. Instructors will report directly to the Coordinator of Baseball Programs in the department of Athletics & Recreation and work in cooperation with other departmental staff.
Instructors will be working with youth and performing work pertaining to fitness and sport instruction.
This position will report directly to the Coordinator of Baseball Programs. Instructors will work independently to lead the scheduled program sessions. Instructors are expected to understand and comply to UBC Athletics & Recreation's policies and procedures, but are expected to defer to their direct supervisor when any judgement or decision-making outside of their parameters is required.
Candidates that would fit well within the position are those that:
- Have a sound knowledge of fitness or sport theory
- Have experience working with youth
- Have strong relationship building skills
- Show leadership qualities
- Work independently
- Have a natural ability to lead and command a group of people
- Have the ability to exercise sound judgement and solve problems in high-stress situations.
