What is Gladiator?
Gladiator is an annual UBC Recreation Intramurals event, and probably one of the most unique we offer. It’s essentially an action-packed event that includes: team obstacle courses, a series of unconventional tasks and giant inflatables. This will be the first Gladiator since Fall 2019 and we are super excited to be bringing it back for not just one, but TWO nights of fun filled action! You won’t want to miss its triumphant return.

- Roster Deadline: Tuesday, November 1, 2022 @ 5:00 PM
- Event Date: Wednesday, November 2, 2022 & Thursday, November 3, 2022

Roster Rules:
- Roster Size: 8-10 people
- Mixed Rosters: Rosters must have a maximum of 50% of self-identifying cis-gendered men
- Rosters of 8 or 9 people can have a maximum of 4 self-identifying cis-gendered men
- Rosters of 10 people can have a maximum of 5 self-identifying cis-gendered men
- Team Registration: Only the captain needs to register for the entire team
Why should you sign up for Gladiator?
- Anyone can do it! No training is required or expected. This is one of the lowest barrier events we have to offer! No training needed, just bring your lovely smiles, bounce along the obstacle course and have a great time. No one’s expecting a perfect run through an inflatable obstacle course, in fact, we’re hoping for some funny falls.
- Convenient Place & Times. With TWO nights, and 4 (four!), 2-hour time slots throughout the evening, your team can pick the time that works best for you! So, come on down to the Student Recreation Centre after your classes, after dinner or before your midnight snack. It’s on-campus and easy to locate for commuters – it’s right by the bus loop!
- Fun & Friendly – Team Bonding! In a new club? Living in residence? Need to blow off some steam with some of your pals? PERFECT. Gladiator is a great way for your team to bond! Whether it’s a social event with friends or meeting more people from your residence, this event is a great opportunity to see everyone in a fun, new environment!
