HIRING: Program Assistants & Head Instructors – UBC Camps

Program Assistants will work directly with several of the UBC Camps management team on tasks of varying complexity in an organizational capacity. Whether providing customer service and registration assistance to the general public; supporting financial logistics and reporting; or photographing and sharing the camp experience with our community; these roles are integral to summertime operations. These positions report to Manager – UBC Camps, with additional support from the Coordinator – UBC Camps.

  • Program Assistant: Customer Relations
  • Program Assistant: Finance & Customer Relations
  • Program Assistant: Marketing & Multimedia

Head Instructors are responsible for supporting Instructors in the planning and implementation of day camps, including playing a supporting role in Instructor training; ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to; leading weekly staff meetings; assisting with supervising groups of youth (ages ranging from 6-17) and/or leading activities; organizing camp supplies and equipment, and other set-up and clean-up duties as required for camps to operate smoothly. These positions report to Coordinator – UBC Camps, with additional support from the Manager – UBC Camps.

All day camp administrative positions are from May 8 – September 1, 2023.
