This weekend our team will perform at Westerns in Surrey, BC for the opportunity to compete with the best Canadian artistic swimming teams at Canadian University Artistic Swimming League (CUASL) Nationals in Markham, ON. Before we compete, let’s turn back the clock to our 2022 Winter Watershow!
Winter Water Show Highlights
Our 2022/2023 Artistic Swimming roster at the watershow!
We hosted their annual winter water show and raffle on Sunday, December 12th, 2023 at the UBC Aquatic Center where our athletes had the opportunity to showcase their routines to their friends and family. The performance included extra routines, novice teams, and advanced teams each showing off their new routines for the season.
The show started off with our extra routines including our soloists Claire, Marissa, Serena, Xera, Penny, and Ava; our novice trio by Bryce, Raiyana, and Liam and our experienced duet by Flynne and Marissa.
The novice team coached by Natalie started the second half of the show swimming to the theme of Dance. Next up the experienced Blue team coached by Jordan, performed their Madonna themed routine. This team has been working hard all season on their choreography and execution to “express themselves.”
Then the experienced Gold team coached by Angie, Kyra, and Claire swam to the theme of Disco. This team of 9 is made up of athletes from all over the world including Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and the US.
Finally, the experienced White team made up of 10 athletes swam to a mix of Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas. This team coached by Stef has been working hard on their choreography and endurance in hopes of winning the national championship title again this season for UBC.
Once again, we would like to thank everyone who came out to support their club by watching their show and purchasing raffle tickets! Your support helps us alleviate costs associated with practices and competition.
