Happy Move UBC, everyone! Move UBC is one of my favourite months of the school year, because it’s a time where everyone on campus can come together to celebrate the joy of movement in a variety of ways. Move UBC is UBC’s annual physical activity campaign that occurs every February, which aims to get members of the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses moving more. This is achieved by free fitness classes, events, and movement breaks that are all offered throughout the month and listed on the Move UBC Events Calendar here!
Since everyone has their own preferred way of moving, this month’s “Moves with the Move U Crew” podcast episode adds to the variety of free ways you can get moving this February. This month’s podcast episode is on “Back Basics” for anyone who could use a back stretch routine. This 7-minute episode guides you through four simple back stretches, some of which are performed seated in a chair or while standing near a wall. All you need is 7 minutes, headphones, a chair, and a wall!
