Interview With an Intramural Soccer Team

As we return from Reading Break, many of our Intramural League teammates are eager to get back on the field for league playoffs. We interviewed a Handley Cup Soccer League team and asked how they are gearing up for the end of season!

What are you all most excited for with this playoff season of Intramurals?

Well, we’re most excited to have the opportunity to keep playing together for another season and hopefully take home another trophy this term! Last term we had so much fun playing together and winning our tier’s soccer championship, and we hope to be able to do it again.”

So you seem to be a pretty skilled team! Did you all know each other before creating your team?

(*laughs and smiles*) “haha, we like to think so. Some of us have known each other since high school, and some of us became friends through signing up for this team! It’s been a really nice way to build friendships and a sense of camaraderie. Honestly, playing with this team is always the highlight of my week.”

That’s so great to hear. Is there anything you’d like to share to anyone whose considering joining an Intramural team next year?

Definitely! If you love playing sports and want a fun, inclusive environment to play, I recommend joining a team next year. Our team has had a blast getting to play soccer with each other each week, and it’s been a really nice way to meet other students with a similar passion for the sport. Gather up some friends and create a team, you won’t regret it!”

As League playoffs begin on March 4, we want to wish all our League participants the best of luck this season. And if you’re looking to get in on the action this summer, we’re excited to announce that Summer Soccer Leagues is now open for registration! Don’t miss your chance to join in on the fun and competition. Register by May 1 and get ready for a season of unforgettable moments on the pitch. We can’t wait to see you there!
