Eligibility

TSC Athlete Eligbility

Thunderbird Sport Clubs all have the same baseline eligibility requirements. You must be a full-time UBC Vancouver student who is in good academic standing. You must be enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate program completing 9 credits per term, or fulfilling the requirements of a PhD, Masters, or Co-op program.

Note that if you are a student registered with the Centre for Accessibility or have extenuating circumstances, you can still participate! Reach out to the TSC office at sport.clubs@ubc.ca to connect!

Certain sport clubs have additional eligibility requirements like previous training and competition experience, or commitment to participating in all practices, competitions, and events. In addition to that, each sport club abides by a different governing body that may have extra academic restrictions for participation. Please contact the relevant sport club for more information.

Waiver Eligibility

If you have any issues with your eligibility or access for a waiver, please email sport.clubs@ubc.ca to help troubleshoot your issue.

Good luck with your tryouts!
