Pedestrian Impacts & Events | Mar 24 – 27

Dear UBC Community,

As we prepare for the upcoming Storm the Wall event from March 24 – 27, it’s essential to be aware of potential pedestrian traffic impacts on campus. To facilitate your navigation during this period, we are providing key information along with an attached campus map highlighting pedestrian crossing points and impacted areas.

  1. University Blvd (Between the Bookstore and the Fountain): Anticipate delays and increased traffic along this stretch. Consider alternative routes if you need to travel through this area.
  2. Main Mall (Between the E and the end of UBC Sauder Business School): Expect heightened pedestrian traffic. Exercise caution and expect possible delays.
  3. Martha Piper Plaza: It is advisable to avoid this area during the event due to expected congestion.
  4. In front of the Life Building and UBC Aquatic Centre: Access to the Life Building and UBC Aquatic Centre may experience delays. Plan your visits accordingly and allow for extra time.

Please refer to the attached campus map for pedestrian crossing points and affected areas. Your cooperation and understanding are appreciated as we work to ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone during Storm the Wall.
