Make better sleep a reality with gentle stretches that prepare your body and mind for rest. Welcome to the “Go to Bed Stretch” podcast episode, led by Move U Crew Team Member Puti.

In this episode, we focus on relaxing stretches designed to ease you into a restful night. We will cover a few key movements such as:

  • Child’s Pose
  • Knee-to-Chest Stretch
  • Neck Stretch
  • Supine Twist
  • Bear Hug

As we move through these stretches, we also incorporate brief mindfulness techniques to enhance your focus and promote relaxation, helping you to not only stretch your body but also calm your mind. Focus on deep, slow breathing and listen to your body.

Research supports the benefits of stretching and mindfulness for improving sleep quality. A 2019 study published in the Brazilian Journal of Psychiatry found that stretching exercises significantly enhance sleep quality in individuals with chronic insomnia (D’Aurea et al., 2019). Additionally, a systematic review published in Sleep Medicine Reviews confirms that meditative movements, which include mindfulness and stretching, generally improve sleep quality (Wang et al., 2015).

Let’s get started and transform your approach to rest with “Go to Bed Stretch.” Join us now, and embrace a night of deep, peaceful sleep.
