Reduced Hours for BC Day
August 5
UBC Recreation’s Sports Facilities will have adjusted hours on Monday, August 5 for British Columbia Day. We encourage guests to plan ahead if they are planning to visit our facilities.
Ace Court Booking Pass On Sale
August 12 @ 1PM
Purchase an Ace Court Booking Pass and make advanced bookings up to 3 days in advance! On August 12 at 1PM, Ace Court Booking Passes will go on sale for Fall and the Full Year! Pass holders will also enjoy benefits such as 20% discount on select offerings.
Playoffs Begin for Monday Soccer and Monday Roundnet

UBC Student Eligibility
In effect August 15
On August 15, UBC Student eligibility comes into effect and most UBC students will qualify for discounted rates to access recreation programs and facilities. To register for programs or purchase memberships you will need to set up a “UBC Recreation Account” using your CWL. Once your account is set up, your UBC Student eligibility rates should be automatically applied, if you are unable to see the rates applied, visit here for trouble shooting help or email us at info.recreation@ubc.ca.
Aquatic Centre Closure for BCSSA
August 16 – 18
The UBC Aquatic Centre will be closed to the public Friday, August 16 – Sunday, August 18 2024 to host the BCSSA Provincial Championships. We encourage guests of the UBC Aquatic Centre to check the UBC Aquatic Centre schedule prior to each visit for the most up-to-date information. Guest should also be aware that there will be reduced programming on Thursday, August 15 to allow for set up.
The facility will return to our regular programming as of Monday, August 19.
Student Fall Fitness Membership
August 19 @ 10AM
Student Fall Fitness Membership will be live on UBC Recreation’s website on August 19 at 10AM. Membership includes access to the BirdCoop and ARC Fitness Centres and the BirdCoop Climbing Cave.
Lights, Camera, Action Scavenger Hunt Walk
August 21
Join us for a FREE walk around campus led by the MOVE U Crew. In this scavenger hunt, you’ll match the movie or tv show still to the famous filming locations right here on campus.

August 24 will be the last day of Group Fitness Classes. Group Fitness Classes will be back in the Fall and will start on September 9!
