From Tuesday, December 10, through Friday, December 13, Wesbrook Mall will be closed to public vehicles between University Boulevard and Student Union Boulevard for 24 hours a day. This closure is necessary to accommodate construction at the Gateway South building.
Please plan your travel ahead of time to avoid using Wesbrook Mall, as there are no convenient detour routes for vehicles.

- The 99 B-Line will detour via Chancellor Boulevard instead of University Boulevard.
- All other bus routes will remain unchanged, but transit riders should expect slight delays during this period.
- Vehicles
- Drivers should avoid Wesbrook Mall by using alternate routes:
- South of University Boulevard: Take Blanca Street to 16th Avenue.
- North of University Boulevard: Take Blanca Street to Chancellor Boulevard.
- Alternatively, use NW Marine Drive around the west side of campus.
- Drivers should avoid Wesbrook Mall by using alternate routes:
- Cyclists
- Northbound cyclists: Continue using the bike lane on Wesbrook Mall.
- Southbound cyclists: Detour via the UBC Bus Exchange or roads within the University Endowment Lands east of Wesbrook Mall.
- Pedestrians
- Pedestrians can continue to use the sidewalk along the east side of Wesbrook Mall.
