Canada Day
July 1
UBC Recreation’s Sports Facilities will have adjusted hours on Tuesday, July 1 for Canada Day. We encourage guests to plan ahead if they are planning to visit our facilities.

Rec North Opens July 2/BirdCoop Hours Adjusted
July 2
UBC’s new home for recreation, Recreation Centre North (Rec North), officially opens on Wednesday, July 2. There will be adjusted hours at Rec North and BirdCoop on the opening day:
- Recreation Centre North – 11:00am – 9:00pm
- BirdCoop Fitness Centre – 7:00am – 9:00am

TriDu Registration Opens
July 7
Start your 2026 race season with BC’s longest-running triathlon! With multiple distances and race formats to choose from, there’s something for everyone. The swim takes place indoors at the UBC Aquatic Centre, and the course winds through UBC’s scenic campus. Enjoy professional race timing and enthusiastic volunteers who’ll keep you safe and energized every step of the way.
