Try It & Love It: Pilates

March 5

Join us for a Pilates class on Thursday, March 5 from 5:30PM to 6:30PM at Rec North Gym A&B! Open to UBC Students, Faculty & Staff and members of the community. Our monthly “Try It & Love It” Group Fitness Class Events are large, high-energy group workouts held in the Rec North gymnasiums carefully selected to get you trying and loving our classes! UBC Triathlon Duathlon

March 7

UBC TriDu is the longest running triathlon in British Columbia and will be taking place on campus. Visitors to and residents of UBC’s Point Grey campus should be aware that on Saturday, March 7, the UBC Triathlon Duathlon will be taking place. Road closures will be in place from 4:00am – 5:00pm on Saturday, March 7. Please plan for extended delays (as much as 30 minutes) and allow for additional travel time when moving around campus.


Wellbeing Walk & Rolls

March 11 & 25

Join the Move U Crew for this month’s wellbeing walk & roll! On March 11, we’re calling all dog lovers! Join us for a fun walk & roll: Puppy Walk! Take a break and join us for a walk.On March 25, we will take a tour of the Nitobe Garden, a traditional Japanese stroll garden. Register for FREE! Open to all UBC Students, Faculty & Staff and members of the community.


Storm the Wall

March 22 – 25

Join us for one of the most iconic experiences on campus! Gather 5 friends and participate as a team or challenge yourself and do the whole course on your own as an Iron Person. Swim, sprint, bike, run and Storm the Wall! Registration is open and will close on March 13. Don’t miss out and take this event out of your UBC bucket list!


2026/2027 Intramurals Hiring

Apply by March 25!

Applications for Intramural Volunteer Staff positions for the 2026/27 academic year are now open! With over a dozen crews and 100 student staff, there are many opportunities for staff to gain experience in diverse areas of programming, such as: Media, Events, Leagues and Digital Content. From organizing tournaments, races, and leagues, to engaging students through digital content and storytelling, there is something for everyone!


Annual Pool Closure

March 27

Guests of the UBC Aquatic Centre are to be advised that the facility will be closed to the public for the Annual Preventative Closure (APC) from Friday, March 27 at 5:00PM until Sunday, April 26 inclusively. This closure will permit UBC to complete regular preventative maintenance on the facility systems. During the APC, the UBC Aquatic Centre is closed to all visitors.
