BMO Marathon Road Closure Alert

Important Notice: For visitors to campus on Sunday, May 3, please be aware of the BMO Vancouver Marathon taking place. Road closures will be in effect around UBC between 8:30AM and 12:000PM, with particularly high impact on trips to and from Wesbrook Place from 8:30 AM to 11AM. We strongly recommend planning ahead and avoiding driving during this time. Please refer to the map below for details on road closures.
Road Closures:
- 8AM – 10:15AM | SW Marine westbound/northbound CLOSED between West 49th Avenue and Camosun Street
- 8:30AM – 11:00AM | West 16th Ave CLOSED from Imperial to SW Marine Drive
- 8:45AM – 11 :30AM | NW/SW Marine Drive CLOSED from West 16th Avenue to Chancellor Blvd
- 9:00AM – 12:30PM | NW Marine Drive CLOSED from Chancellor Blvd to West 4th Ave
ALL ROADS AROUND UBC WILL BE REOPENED BY NOON
Access to UBC Campus and University Neighbourhoods
For travel to and from UBC campus north of 16th Avenue:
- Use University Boulevard or Chancellor Boulevard / 4th Avenue
- Be aware of additional road closures throughout the City of Vancouver
