Leagues Free Agent Meeting | Sep 16 & 17

What to do before the meeting:

• Have your UBC Recreation Login set up on your mobile device.
• Have your credit card information, email, and phone number readily on hand that are associated with your UBC Recreation Login.
  • Please note: credit card is the preferred payment option; there will be additional wait times for those wanting to pay by cash or debit card.
• Plan your time of arrival – the number of available spots is limited and is first-come, first-served.
• Review the available leagues at the meeting below to get an idea of what you want to play in prior to attending.
  • Please note: Roundnet, Badminton, and Pickleball will not be offered at the Free Agent Meeting.

What to expect during the meeting on Wednesday, September 16th:

• Participants will line up and enter the Rec North Gymnasiums via the entrance on the Rec North ground floor
• Free agent registration will take place in Nestor’s Gym
• Drop-in sports for newly formed free agent teams will be available in Rec North Gyms A & B

What to expect during the meeting on Thursday, September 17th:

• Participants will line up and enter at the southeast corner of the SRC (between the UBC Aquatic Centre and SRC); the line-up will extend west
• Participants will be given a token prior to entry that will be collected when they complete payment for their desired league (this token guarantees one spot in a league).
• Staff will facilitate meeting groups based on the attendees’ preferred league sport, participation structure, and level of play.
• Once the minimum number of attendees for a team is reached, staff will guide the team members through the registration process.
• To sign up for another league, attendees must line-up again to receive a second token to register for an additional team.
