Soccer – Women’s - Academy

UBC Women's Soccer is hosting an academy for highly motivated female soccer players. Athletes will get the opportunity to be trained weekly by the Women's Soccer staff and players. Training sessions will have an emphasis on technical player habits based on what is needed for all positions along with positional aspect.

The curriculum includes an emphasis on in and out of possession moments as well as transitional periods of the game. 

Position Specific training will focus on central and wide areas:
Turning and receiving competencies
Dribbling and running with the ball
Crossing and finishing moments
Movement and support

Field Awareness to keep possession under pressure:
Keeping the ball away from pressure
Creating confidence/understanding when under defensive pressure to make efficient and productive decisions

Physical distancing and provincial health guidelines will be followed throughout the training sessions.

A digital copy of the consent form is completed during online registration. In-person or over the phone registration requires a paper copy be submitted prior to the first day of camp.
