Garden Delights

Program provided in partnership with UBC Botanical Garden

Enjoy a variety of fun-filled activities in UBC's Botanical Garden. Try your hand at drama in the amphitheater or dare a treetop adventure! Learn about edible plants and make a take-home birdhouse. Get creative with themed arts and crafts and learn more about West Coast ecology. This camp weaves themes of sustainability and conservation throughout daily activities, enhancing campers’ connection to the outdoors, plant life and the living insects and animals that inhabit garden spaces.

Required Equipment: Weather appropriate clothing that is easy to move and play games in; this camp runs rain or shine outdoors.

Location Details: This camp meets outside the Reception Centre at UBC's Botanical Garden.

This camp is presented in collaboration with UBC Botanical Garden, Canada's oldest university botanical garden (est. 1916). The Garden curates a diverse living collection of plants native to British Columbia and plants from all over the world, which are maintained for the purposes of education, research, conservation, community outreach, and public display.
