Language, Speaking & Writing - Comic Book Adventures

Love reading comic books and graphic novels? Get creative by bringing your own storytelling ideas to life! Learn more about narrative and plot, character development, speech bubbles, how panels and colour work together and more. Visual storytelling enhances literacy skills, can engage reluctant readers and ignites the imagination. This camp empowers youth to develop their own voice!

In the afternoons, campers take a break from writing and enjoy fun, recreational games and sport. They will go swimming at the UBC Aquatic Centre, try bouldering in our fitness centre, and visit parks & playgrounds around campus to support an active, healthy lifestyle!

Prerequisites:
Campers must be fluent in English.

Required Equipment:
This camp will run a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, rain or shine. Please ensure weather-appropriate clothing is worn.
