Leadership – TED-Style Public Speaking

Program provided in partnership with Future-ready Minds

This inspiring camp helps young leaders express their ideas with confidence and creativity. Campers learn to plan, write, and deliver their very own TED-style talk while exploring the art of communication and storytelling. Through small-group coaching and fun speech exercises, children build stage presence, learn to manage nervousness, and celebrate their voices. By the end, they proudly present their talk to an audience of peers and parents.

Highlights:

  • Build communication and presentation skills.
  • Practice storytelling, tone, and body language.
  • Develop confidence speaking in front of others.
  • Present a mini TED-style talk at the end of camp.
Required Equipment: A personal pencil case (with basic writing supplies such as pencils, an eraser, ruler, sharpener, pencil crayons and crayons), and a book they are currently enjoying reading for downtime during the day. We also recommend you send an electronic device with your child in order for them to research their topics and design their presentations. If your child does not have access to an electronic device to use outside of the home, please allow them some time to complete their pending research and project work at home.

Location Details: Please note that this camp takes place at multiple off-campus locations; be sure to double-check which location you are registering for.
