Swim N' Splash

The Swim N’ Splash Camp provides campers with the opportunity to engage in water activities that enhance movement skills, teamwork and sportsmanship at the UBC Aquatic Centre. A Red Cross Swim @ Camp lesson is included, allowing swimmers to improve aquatic skills, strokes, safety and fitness. Intermediate level swimmers will have a 45 minute lesson, and advanced level swimmers, a 60 minute lesson. After the lesson portion of camp, participants will engage in instructor-led games and other fun activities. The camp will emphasize fair and safe play, while promoting an active lifestyle.

Physical distancing will be maintained at all times while in the water. To ensure the safety of campers and to adhere to Red Cross protocols, only intermediate and advanced level swimmers will be able to participate in camps this year. No kickboards or swim aids will be used during camps.

Campers will be placed into their respective Red Cross Swim @ Camp levels based on their most recently completed swimming level. Please ensure that upon registration you include this information. Once a camper has begun the week with their swimming group, they will not be able to switch to a different group. If you are uncertain of your child’s swim ability or level, please contact aquatic.daycamps@ubc.ca.
