Visual Arts – Inspired Perspectives

Be inspired by the styles and techniques of artists from past centuries! This full-day camp focuses on drawing, painting and collage work for half of the day, using mediums such as charcoal, pencil, watercolour, tempura paint, and pastels. The afternoon is spent exploring UBC's Point Grey Campus and enjoying group games and activities, as well as exploring art through nature. Participants learn about perspective, play with colour, light, shading and pattern.

Please note, each camper will be given their own set of art supplies to work with during camp, and to take home at the end of the week.

Required Equipment: Clothing that is OK to get messy, as well as weather-appropriate clothing for select activities outside.

Location Details: This camp meets at the south entrance to the Doug Mitchell Arena, directly behind the Gerald McGavin Rugby Centre. Camp will take place on the East Concourse.
