Science & Technology – Marine Biologist in Training

Program provided in partnership with Sea Smart

Attention future female marine biologists! This week-long camp at the beach provides girls with the opportunity to learn what it's like to be a scientist and study the ocean! At Marine Biologist in Training camp, girls will learn hands-on scientific sampling methods, participate in interactive marine ecology lessons, and conduct independent research projects. Additionally, a female professional scientist will speak at each camp to discuss their journey into the world of STEM, offer advice and answer questions.

The Marine Biologist in Training camp may include activities such as:

  • Shorebird surveys
  • Sample microscopic life in our oceans using plankton tows
  • Identifying marine plants and animals
This summer camp will build girls’ confidence and curiosity in STEM and inspire and empower girls to become environmental leaders and champions!

NEW curriculum each summer!
