Creative Writing & Rec Fun

Attention, Storytellers! This program will encourage writers to open their minds and stretch their imaginations through both writing exercises and fun recreational activities. Campers will be introduced to a variety of writing styles, and create a portfolio of work throughout the week to showcase. Genres may include poetry, comic books, fiction, and autobiographical writing. In the afternoons, campers take a break from writing and enjoy fun, recreational games and sport.

Campers will go swimming at the UBC Aquatic Centre, try out gymnastics at Osbourne Gym, and visit parks & playgrounds around campus to support an active, healthy lifestyle!

Prerequisites: Participants must be reading and writing at grade level, with fluency and command of the English language. 

Required Equipment: This camp will run a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, rain or shine. Please ensure weather-appropriate clothing is worn. Please also bring a towel and swim suit on the pool visit day.
