Language, Speaking, & Writing – Fun with English Language!

This English language camp is an opportunity, especially for ELL children, to engage in fun language practice activities and to meet new friends. Our experienced, enthusiastic instructors will lead campers through role-playing, crafts, journaling, games and fun in the sun!

Each day will have a different focus with language-specific instruction and game-play situations making for a stimulating and challenging learning environment, as well as promoting the use of particular aspects of language, such as pronunciation and comprehension.

While the focus of this camp is on supporting English language learners, this camp is NOT formalized English lessons. Instead, the camp aims to promote confidence by encouraging language skills through play and games. Campers will be encouraged to share and explore similarities and differences between English and other languages.

Prerequisites: The camp welcomes both children from English speaking and non-English speaking backgrounds, but basic English is required. The purpose of this camp is to support and encourage children to use the communication skills they already possess.

Required Equipment: This is an outdoor camp so dress for the weather; bring a hat and sunscreen.

A digital copy of the consent form is completed during online registration. In-person or over the phone registration requires a paper copy be submitted prior to the first day of camp.
