Program provided in partnership with MacSailing
Lead the charge in global marine conservation! Designed for ages 10-14, Marine Protectors Level 2 empowers campers to tackle global environmental challenges, building on the foundational skills gained in Level 1. This program features motorboat excursions to observe ecosystems in more remote locations and visits with conservation groups actively implementing strategies to combat these challenges. Guided by UBC marine biology students and guest educators from Ocean Wise and Parks Canada, campers will gain practical experience and leadership skills that inspire meaningful change.
Highlights Include:
- Motorboat excursions to explore hidden marine habitats and observe biodiversity.
- Field visits to meet conservation groups working on innovative environmental solutions.
- Hands-on research and workshops to develop leadership and problem-solving skills.
