Program provided in partnership with UnderToe Skateboard Academy
Level 2 is for children who have had at least 40+ hours of 'on board' experience and are looking to further their skateboarding skills and abilities. Focus is placed on tricks such as ollies, kick flips and ramp skills. This program requires basic level of board control, balance and ability.
Prerequisites: At least 40+ hours of skateboarding, plus basic level of board control, balance and ability.
Required Equipment: Skateboarding-specific helmets are mandatory and need to be supplied by participants (no bike helmets). Knee, elbow and wrist guards are strongly encouraged but not required. 'Trick' or 'park style' skateboards are also mandatory and need to be supplied by the participant; no 'penny' or plastic 'toy' skateboards, longboards, boards without proper grip tape , etc. Please consult instructors if you have any questions.
Location Details: This camp meets outside the main entrance of the UBC Tennis Centre.
Please note that in the event of rain, camp may be moved to either a
covered area outside or indoors, and campers may not be able to
skateboard for safety reasons. Alternative activities will be provided
in these circumstances.
