Tennis – Competitive

The goal of this camp is to inspire and nurture a passion for the game of tennis. It is also designed to help players prepare for regular competition and have fun in match play. Players will build on their fundamentals as well as learn more challenging skills to help them deal with situations they will encounter. Those approved for this camp must display a strong work ethic, a desire to learn and improve, and sportsmanship. This program places a strong emphasis on physical development.

Prerequisites: All players in this camp must either be currently enrolled in one of our Competitive programs, be invited to register by our Head Coach or High Performance Director, or be approved for registration by a UBC Tennis Centre coach. 

Required Equipment: Participants are asked to bring their own tennis racket.

Location Details: Participants will sign-in and sign-out directly at the Tennis Centre outdoor court, rain or shine. The camp will be held on the outdoor court, or moved to the Tennis Bubble in the case of rain. For the morning camps, drop off and pick up will occur from 8:45am-9:00am and 12:00pm-12:15pm. For the afternoon camps, drop off and pick up will occur from 12:45pm-1:00pm and 4:00pm-4:15pm.

A digital copy of the consent form is completed during online registration. In-person or over the phone registration requires a paper copy be submitted prior to the first day of camp.
