Tennis - Competitive

The goal of this camp is to inspire and nurture a passion for the game of tennis. It is also designed to help players prepare for regular competition and have fun in match play. Players will build on their fundamentals as well as learn more challenging skills to help them deal with situations they will encounter during point play. This program also places a strong emphasis on physical development. Those approved for this camp must display a strong work ethic, a desire to learn and improve, and sportsmanship.

Prerequisites: All players in this camp must either be currently enrolled in one of our Competitive programs or be approved for registration by our Head Coach, High-Performance Director or Competitive Program Coordinator. To inquire about an assessment please contact tennis.centre@ubc.ca.
 
Required Equipment: Participants are expected to be prepared with at least one tennis racket, a large water bottle, a skipping rope, hat and sunscreen. 
 
Location Details: Participants will sign-in and sign-out at the UBC Tennis Centre Main Facility unless communicated otherwise. For the morning camps, drop off and pick up will occur from 8:45am-9:00am and 12:00pm-12:15pm. For the afternoon camps, drop off and pick up will occur from 12:45pm-1:00pm and 4:00pm-4:15pm.

Please note: Competitive Camp dates may change based on tournament schedule and player availability and are not guaranteed to run. Approved players will be contacted to complete the registration process. Due to limited capacity, we may be unable to accommodate all interested campers. Priority will be given to players previously registered in our Competitive programs.

A digital copy of the consent form is completed during online registration. In-person or over the phone registration requires a paper copy be submitted prior to the first day of camp.
