Program provided in partnership with The Cinematheque
Want to be a filmmaker? Whether you're a newbie or a pro, Action! is the filmmaking camp that takes you from idea to finished film. This camp empowers youth to create short films over five days, defining the content, style, and tone of their own films, while facilitators provide technical assistance and artistic mentorship.
Prerequisite: All participants must have given photo/video consent in order to participate in this camp.
Required Equipment: All filmmaking equipment and materials will be provided by The Cinematheque. Please bring outdoor-appropriate shoes and clothes, as we will play outside during lunch and breaks.
This camp is presented in collaboration with The Cinematheque, a charitable cultural organization that has offered film and media education programs for over 20 years. From engaging digital literacy workshops, to unique filmmaking programs, The Cinematheque aims to foster a passion for the art of film, as well as a critical understanding of the visual media in the world around us.
