Animazing! Stop-motion Animation

Program provided in partnership with The Cinematheque

Do you love animated films? Do you want to learn how to make ordinary objects appear to move on their own? Create new worlds and make your ideas come to life at Animazing! This week of hands-on activities will introduce campers to the basics of movie making with a series of stop-motion animation projects. Participants will draw, sculpt, paint, and act, producing short animations using different techniques such as Pixilation and Claymation.

Prerequisite: All participants must have given photo/video consent in order to participate in this camp.

Required Equipment:
All animation equipment will be provided by The Cinematheque. Please bring outdoor-appropriate shoes and clothes, as we will play outside during lunch and breaks.

This camp is presented in collaboration with The Cinematheque, a charitable cultural organization that has offered media and film education programs for over 20 years. From engaging digital literacy workshops, to unique filmmaking programs, The Cinematheque aims to foster a passion for the art of film, as well as a critical understanding of the visual media in the world around us.
