Program Information

In response to Step 3 of BC’s Restart plan and university guidance, a number of changes are being introduced at UBC’s sport facilities and through its recreation programs:

  • Self-assess prior to your visit & please do not visit if you feel unwell.
  • Masks remain strongly recommended for persons over the age of 12 who are not fully vaccinated (meaning at least 2 weeks after a second dose), but are no longer required.
  • Capacity limits in programs and facilities are being gradually increased.
  • Additional amenities (change rooms, washrooms, showers) are re-opening.
  • Physical distancing measures are being eliminated in some public areas and programs.

Please note that advanced registration is still required for all activities and admittance to UBC sport facilities. Registered patrons may also be accompanied by up to two spectating guests, facility capacity permitting. Spectators must arrive at the same time as the registered patron and there are no “in-and-out” privileges.

Responding to Step 3 is very exciting for UBC Athletics & Recreation and we continue to work diligently to plan, prepare, and increase our service levels. Our restart will be gradual and many programs have resumed with minimal restrictions on activities or capacities. Please check schedules and facility-specific pages for available programming.
